Opportunity Framing
After each member presented 5 ideas to the whole class and received feedback, we reviewed all 20 ideas one by one and attempted to see if there were any overlapping areas that we were interested in.

"If I could go through and see a plant. and know what it would be like, it would be a huge benefit." -Gardener 1 "If I had it my way, I'd be in the garden all the time." -Gardener 2 |

| Needs & Concept Validation
Our initial prototype was to project the future state of the garden onto the ground based on the gardener's selection of plants and monitoring the well-being of plants with sensors. |

Competitive Analysis
There are many online and mobile tools that attempt to help with garden planning. However, gardeners can only imagine what the gardens would look like since they only deal with numerical dimensions. In addition, gardeners need to spend additional time giving out information about their garden to get personalized advice. |

Final Design
Through another round of needs validation with our initial prototype, we decided to use leaf-shaped markers that would better assimilate to the environment and use augmented reality glasses that would project the future garden onto the lens. Glasses can also tell if a plant would thrive in a certain location as well as with its neighbors through soil sensors that are embedded in the stem of the plant's marker. Once the gardener is done with planning, his final plan is emailed to him for future shopping and reference. |
